A. Topical anaesthetic is applied to numb the area and minimize discomfort so this reduces the pain level. However, the pain threshold varies from client to client as it is dependent on the pain tolerance of each individual.
A. All eyebrow, lip and eyeliner procedures can take anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 hours. This takes into consideration of the whole procedure including shaping, planning and tattooing, where the tattooing itself should be under 1 hour. Touch-up sessions is approximately 1.5 – 2 hours.
A. It is highly advised, so that the features look refined and perfect. A touch-up session is done 4-6 weeks following the initial procedure to let the area fully heal – no earlier. There may be some areas where the pigment did not reach, and will need to be touched up. Colour, thickness, strokes can also be added. Retouch-up sessions thereafter is suggested for 6-12 months and even earlier for lighter colours. Touch-up sessions are cheaper than the initial session.

A. To be completely healed is approximately 1 month, while visually it could be around 2 weeks. The area will first seem darker and slightly red and swollen – though this is normal and part of the healing process. The colour typically fades in the following days (30% – 50%). Scabbing will occur, do not pick at it. The skin around the area may also look lighter as the tissue is also healing from the inside. Within the healing period it is also advised to have downtime from makeup for the area.
A. You may check out the pre-treatment & post-treatment here.
A. A rough time frame is 1-2 years. Cosmetic tattooing is not deep into the skin as traditional tattoos, the area will fade overtime and also depending on your lifestyle, skin type, age, and skincare routine. I.e. tanning, sun exposure, exfoliants will fade faster. To maintain that fresh, refined look, it is advised to touch-up every 6 – 12 months and earlier for lighter colours.

A. During your session, we will discuss your preferences. It would be great if you could bring in photo references of colour and shape you are after. Together, we will draw the shape and design of your ideal brow and will only start on the procedure once you have approved.

A. To have your brows looking its best, avoid getting it wet until it is completely healed & thereafter, always wear sunscreen SPF 30 or higher on the area when you are exposed to the sun. Avoid exfoliating the area and its recommended to never wax your brows, as it can fade. Don’t apply skincare with retinol, acids, acne medications, or use scrubs near the area.
A. It can be. Similar to traditional tattoos, cosmetic tattoos can be removed with specific laser treatments, however it can be quite difficult and many treatments are often needed. As such, you should go into the procedure with the view that it is permanent. If you are unsure as to whether it’s something you would want in 2 or 3 years time, take some more time to consider it. Or, if you are just unsure of the look, you can opt with a less dramatic and lighter colour, as it is easier for me to touch up a treatment and make it thicker or darker, but impossible vice versa.
